Carolyn has lived in the Ellesmere area since 1973, and has been a patient with the Ellesmere Practice since then. She is now
retired.

Vice-Chair - Tim Potter
|
|
Tim retired from the Rhodesian Police in 1976. He returned to the UK in 1981 and took up a
second career in business, finally retiring in 2000 when he moved to Ellesmere. Since then
he worked as a volunteer advocate for Age Concern for six years and is currently the welfare
officer for the Ellesmere Royal Air Force Association. He has been a patient at Ellesmere
Medical Practice since 2000.

Rosemary Milns
|
|
Rosemary is a hypnotherapist and stress manager plus administrator. Formerly she was a teacher specialising in
dyslexia and English as a foreign language. She has lived in Cockshutt for
thirty four years, has been a parish councillor for twenty
nine years and a primary school governor for more years than she cares to remember.

Marguerite Ashley, MBE, JP
|
|
Having lived in Ellesmere for fifty two
years, Marguerite felt that she would like to do something
to support the Medical Practice from which her family
have always received first class
care. She is now retired having worked for the Civil
Service from 1968 until 2006 in various
departments Inland Revenue and Social Security. She
became a War Pensioners Welfare
manager in 1980 and was then transferred to the Ministry
of Defence. Marguerite is now
on the board of the Meres and Mosses Housing Association
and continues her work as a
magistrate in Wrexham.

Peter Gee
|
|
Born and brought up in Rutland Peter has been involved with retail businesses since leaving Keele University in 1972, with a degree in Law and economics,. He was MD of Stead and Simpson Ltd and later Barratts Shoes. He and his wife Karen moved to North Shropshire in 2005 and he is now semi retired. At last having some time, he is now keen to become more involved in the local community. His hobbies are tennis, skiing and walking his four dogs.

Paul Goulbourne

|
Paul is a retired marine engineer and
ship manager and moved to Ellesmere eight years ago.
He then worked for the Citizens Advice Bureau in
Oswestry and Whitchurch as avolunteer
for five years. He is married with three grown up
children and two grandchildren.

Shelagh Holland
|
|
Shelagh became a patient at Ellesmere
Medical Practice when she moved from the Wirral to
Welshampton in 1984. She has
lived in Ellesmere since 2006.

Suzanne Hutchinson
|
|
Suzanne has lived in the Ellesmere area since 1988. For three years she helped run the
Sixth Form girls house at Ellesmere College. She then worked in community mental health
and after that taught counselling skills in adult education. While she was working in these
fields Suzanne developed an interest in how our social and physical environment affects our
health and wellbeing, an interest she hopes to share with the local community through the
EPG Newsletter.

Ian Kelly
|
|
Ian has lived in Ellesmere since 2002, having returned to family roots in Ellesmere that go back
seven generations. Now retired from the Army, he works for a charity helping military cadets to achieve
vocational qualifications. He is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management. Ian is married to Janet and
they have a son. The family also runs small caravan site from their farm.

Brian Knight
|
|
Brian has been an Ellesmere Town Councillor for over 30 years and was Mayor during 1985-1987 and 2009-2010. His aim is to look after and support the residents of both Ellesmere
Urban and Rural Councils and always tries to make himself available for any
concerns or comments regarding Ellesmere Medical Practice.

Mike Lister
|
|
Mike is a retired trouble-shooter electronics engineer. He is married with three children, six
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He attends church in Hordley and is interested
in art, local affairs and motor racing.

Maggie Rose
|
|
Maggie moved to Colemere 13 years ago. She worked as a Nurse Specialist supporting
people with PSP (an unusual neurological condition), operating a 24-hour telephone
helpline, holding support meetings across the UK and Eire and teaching health and social
care professionals. She retired in 2010.
