Improving Health and Well-Being
Many years of research into physical activity has proven that people who are usually inactive can improve their health and well-being by becoming even moderately active on a regular basis, and that physical activity need not be strenuous in order to achieve these health benefits.

Ideally you should aim for a session of moderate exercise of 30 minutes per day; this can be done as one session or be divided up into a few manageable sessions. At the end of the session your body should feel warmer and your breathing rate should have increased.

Fit Exercise into Your Daily Life
The exercise session need not be vigorous. Furthermore, many activities can be fitted into your daily life for example: walking at a moderate pace; using the stairs as opposed to the lift; and walking to the shops instead of taking the car. In addition swimming, aerobics, water aerobics and cycling can all form a part of your daily exercise routine.
